Imperial Gardens of Russia, festival
It’s an open-air exhibition of flowers. This year’s theme is the avant-garde. You will see all sorts of landscape compositions, floral art objects and garden installations. The Russian avant-garde art inspires the authors. Also this festival includes the works dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Russian revolution and the year of ecology in Russia.

Wings on the Neva 2017, festival
This festival is a competition in jet-surfing in the water area of the Neva near the Peter and Paul Fortress. Jet-surfing is an extreme sport, when a person skates on the water. Also different exhibitions of artists and music concerts are held on the territory of the fortress.

All-Russian Festival of Colors
It’s an annual festival of colors. You can throw at each other bright holi colors and listen to good live music there. Concerts and theatre highlights of the week
The French director Charles Roubaud shows his opera on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater. It’s a story about the love of Prince Calaf to the princess Turandot, who hates men and makes three difficult riddles for all the boys who are wedded to her. A composer Puccini created music for the opera, but he couldn’t finish it. The ending of this version of opera is wrote by Luciano Berio.

Bely. Petersburg, performance
This performance is based on Andrei Bely’s Petersburg. The plot tells you about people, who are tired of constant brain activity and suffering from pessimism. They live in St. Petersburg. The main place of action is the consciousness of one of the characters, and all the rest are only forms of his thought. The music was composed by Georgy Firtich, director is Gennady Trostyanetsky.

Concert of Christophe Barati, Istvan Vardai and Zarina Shimanskaya
Talented musicians from Russia and Hungary perform at the Mariinsky Theater Concert Hall. Christophe Barati is a violinist from Hungary became famous at the age of 9, Istvan Vardai is a cellist from Hungary, already well-known all over the world, and Zarina Shimanskaya is a pianist from St. Petersburg, performing solo concerts in European cities. Three young people unite to play their favorite songs.

Concert of the Blind Orchestra
This concert is an experiment of musicians from the SPb Blind Orchestra band. Participants perform blindfolded at the scene. They play unusual, outlandish music without any style restrictions under the guidance of a conductor. It will be a truly extraordinary concert.

It’s an unusual ballet created by choreographer George Balanchine. It consists of three parts: Emeralds, Diamonds and Rubies. Compositions of Foret, Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky sound in this ballet. The main emphasis is on the beautiful choreography, which is enhanced by bright costumes. Director uses the minimum decorations.

This exhibition explores the works of classics of the Azerbaijani painting of the XX century. Wine from dandelions, or Don’t move! performance
It’s an unusual performance based on Ray Bradbury’s famous autobiographical work. A director Adolf Shapiro animates a childhood of the famous science fiction writer on the stage of Bryantsev Youth Theater. This performance tells you about the transience and purity of childhood, the value of memories, and the nostalgia for the past years. Also the director tries to show that children both in the United States and in Russia see the world in the same childish way, and it doesn’t matter which continent you were born on.
