This show for adults includes exclusively Russian folklore motifs, elements of circus and modern choreographyunder accompaniment of the avant-garde band EtnoZapil. The performance is full of anticipation of miracles, mysteries, belief that dreams can come true, and love.

New Year light show at the Palace Square

New Year light show includes lots of light effects. It’s a free magic show dedicated to the Year of Russian cinema. Bronze Horseman is a key figure of the show. The most fascinating part of the New Year light show is animated tales under accompaniment of Christmas music in the modern interpretation. On December 30th show closes with fireworks.

Concert “Hollywood New Year’s Petersburg”

The concert includes music from famous Hollywood films. The Symphony OrchestraSingolo Orchestra performs soundtracks from the films “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Titanic”,“Schindler’s List”, “Gladiator”, “Indiana Jones”, “James Bond” and other melodies of the famous film composers like John Williams, Henry Mancini, Ennio Morricone, and James Horner in the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic.

The Performance “The last trolley bus” at the Theatre on Vasilevsky

This lyrical comedy based on works by Alexander Volodin “Five Evenings” and “Notes of a drunk man” and songs by Okudzhava is performed at the stage of the Theater on Vasilevsky. It discovers the events in the life of the main characters, which happened in 1965 as though a viewer watches all of it from the window of the last trolley bus. The performance lasts about one hour without intermission.

Concert of KVN (“Club of the Funny and Inventive People”)

The performance “Madame Bovary” at the theater “Baltic House”

The theater “Baltic House” presents the scenic interpretation of the famous novel by Gustave Flaubert“Madame Bovary”. It’s a story about how the boredom and routine became literally suicidal. Director Natalia Indeikina modernized the Flaubert heroine and moved her to the 20s of the last century instead of XIX century: it’s time of the avant-garde art and two World Wars.
