The concert “Masterpieces of vocal music: Ravel. Debussy”
Soloists of the Academy of Young Opera Singers perform chamber vocal music of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. The style of the songs is very diverse – from impressionism to folk and classical style. This concert is a continuation of series of the French Impressionists’ music performances.

The Solo performance “Dialogues about American jazz” at the theatre “Masterskaya”
A solo performance of the actress Polina Sidikhina directed by Anna Zummer is a tough story about a modern woman who is trying to cope with the superhero complex. The solo performance tells about people and modern society with its uncertain and sometimes wrong concepts of price and values.

The music performance “The Master and Margarita” at the theater “Music Hall”
A music performance “The Master and Margarita” based on the novel of M.A. Bulgakov brings together stars of Russian music projects. The role of Woland is played by a winner of the “Golden Mask” Ivan Ozhogin, Margarita is played by Anastasia Makeyeva and the role of the Master is played by famous artist of music performances Anton Avdeev, and also Vyacheslav Shtyps and Anna Kovalchuk are participants. Great music accompaniment, wonderful costumes and a lot of 3D and video decorations are in this performance.

The opera “The Magic Flute” at the Mikhailovsky Theater
This Opera is a project of the Mikhailovsky Theatre and Opera de Lausanne. A fantastic story of the famous “Magic Flute” by Mozart is moved into the library of the Duchess Anna Amalia in city of Weimar, where the German choreographer Peter Hulme moved the action of performance in 2010. The premiere of the Mikhailovsky Theatre is the same version, as it was in Switzerland when the opera was staged by Peter Hulme.

The Concert “Golden Collection of Russian romance”

The opera “Thus Do They All (Così fan tutte)” of the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory
The Opera directed by Götz Fischer is a cheerful, adventurous and funny performance. The director decided to make the opera without politics and not to transfer the opera action in the XX century. He makes an attempt to create the opera as it was in the age of Mozart. The Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory orchestra performs the music of opera.

The performance “Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the theater “Buff”
“Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a large-scale musical based on enchanting, wonderful comedy by William Shakespeare. There are three intersecting storylines in the play, connected with each other by the upcoming wedding of the Duke of Athens and the Queen of the Amazons. The performance is dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the playwrighter birth. It is full of songs, dances and acrobatic performances.

The exhibition “St. Petersburg and other cities in Vasily Sadovnikov paintings”
The exhibition includes the paintings of Vasily Sadovnikov. His works are dedicated to the Russian cities and, first of all, St. Petersburg. Russian capital of the age of Pushkin and Gogol, Dostoevsky and Pomyalovsky is depicted on the first author’s lithographs and watercolors paintings.

The exhibition “A man with a camera on the iPhone”
This exhibition is a project of the Japanese artist Nobushige Kono. The name of it “A man with the camera on the iPhone” gives reference to documentary film-experiment by Dziga Vertov “A Man with a Movie Camera”. The Japanese artist explores the modern life in the city in his video work.

The exhibition discovers the works of photographer Alexander Dymnikov. His photos show the places hiding from the eyes in unapproachable Himalayas. The author tries to understand the mystery of Tibet. The photographs depict all the beauty of Tibet.

This exhibition includes works of Anna Belousova. The author explores the “trail of light as a physical phenomenon and as spiritual values in the culture”. The exhibition “Stitched horizon”
The exhibition discovers the art objects of Yuri Nikiforov. His works depict wild radical stories, and reveal the dark side of human life. The Performance “Tereshechka” at the theatre “Teatr skazki” near the station Moskovskie vorota
The performance based on the fairytale by Sergei Sedov tells a famous folk story about Ded and Baba (grandfather and grandmother) who made a boy from a piece of log. It’s a story about the miraculous transformation, bad witches, silly girls, and love to their grandchildren, which knows no bounds.

The Opera “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” at the Mariinsky Theatre
“The Tale of Tsar Saltan” is a music fairytale about good and evil. The performance consists brilliant poetry of Pushkin and great music of Rimsky-Korsakov. Synchronized subtitles in English are the peculiarity of this performance. The orchestra under the direction of Andrei Petrenko performs beautiful Rimsky-Korsakov compositions. Opera consists four acts with one intermission.

Lectures of Ilya Kolmanovsky in St. Petersburg
Biologist Ilya Kolmanovsky tells young and old fans about science on 21st of January. He discovers the medical aspects of aesthetic surgery, and whether it is possible to defeat aging. An interactive session for children “Hands and feet” is held on 22nd of January. Visitors learn what magical is in ordinary human feet and get to know the secrets of the legs and hooves.

The performance “Mr. Sherlock Holmes” at the theater “Za Chernoi rechkoi”
The performance “Mr. Sherlock Holmes” directed by Peter Vasilev tells about Sherlock Holmes adventures. Sherlock Holmes reveals all the mysteries in London. Detective play consists two acts and is based on two works of Arthur Conan Doyle: “The Sign of Four” and “A Study in Scarlet”. It immerses the audience into the old mystical London and introduces a well-known Holmes method of deduction. The play won the festival “Theatre of St. Petersburg – for children”. The performance lasts 1 hour 30 minutes.
