Absence of laundry services in the hotel or hostel you are staying at can become a real problem for a traveler.
A lot of laundry and dry-cleaning outlets in the city are focused on services for corporate clients. For individuals they offer only linen washing and expensive dry-cleaning. Such laundry points can be found in all the big shopping centers. The most convenient, fast and cheap way for tourists to take care of their clothes is to visit a self-service laundry (one visit takes about 2 hours). Another way is to order laundry services by phone, but it will be quiet an expensive and time consuming choice (your order will be delivered back from 1 to 3 days).
We picked up some helpful addresses in the city center, as well as contacts of phone-laundries.

• Self-service laundry chain “Prachka.Com”. You can wash and dry your stuff in 2 hours, or leave it with the administrator. Washing and drying of laundry up to 5 kg. costs 180 RUB, “Lux washing” with additional services – 250 RUB.
Several addresses: Sadovaya str, 30-32, Fontanka emb. 123. For more information call +7 (812) 318 34 41
• Laundry-cafe “Wash 40”. Here you can have a cup of coffee or a glass of mulled wine, play chess or backgammon, and wait until your laundry is ready. The cafe often hosts parties and poetry evenings and is popular among musicians and artists.

• ”Aqua laundry” – offers laundry services with delivery in 2 days. There is an express service as well which takes 12 hours. Washing and drying laundry of up to 2 kg costs 160 RUB, delivery is charged as an extra cost. You can make and calculate your order on the company website prach.ru.
