Grand Maket Russia Museum St. Petersburg

More than 400 world-class modelers, artists, computer scientists and managers were involved in the creation of the Grand Maket Russia. The project gives visitors a unique vision of our big and diverse country. Modern thinking suggests life in St. Petersburg will be equally interesting to people of all ages, nationalities and cultural preferences.

The layout is a three-dimensional dynamic model of Russia with mountains, rivers, lakes, forests. Only a thorough examination will give you the understanding of the amount of effort and time spent on each piece. You can watch and observe factories at work, moving cars, flying helicopters and almost real figures of people and animals. You can even find a UFO (unidentified flying object) here! The layout consists of sketches of cities, regions, well-recognized and often humorous scenes of Russian life. All parts of the country are connected by a 2-level railroad, where trains change direction by themselves. The gradual change of day and night throughout the exhibition makes it look unexpectedly close to reality.

The museum matches the highest international standards: an exciting interactive exhibition, helpful service, facilities for the disabled, audio guides in 3 languages, a nice cafe with Russian cuisine at reasonable prices, clean modern restrooms and convenient parking.

One of the highlights of my Moscow/St Petersburg trip a magnificent display showing an amazing attention to detail and imagination. My only suggestion would be to produce a booklet showing the birth, growth and future plans. Some professional pictures and description would whet the appetite encouraging those who were not staying in the immediate area and those who might not appreciate the attraction for both little boys and big boys.
I hope you go from strength to strength, you deserve to.
