Erarta museum in St. Petersburg, Russia

Erarta is a private museum that presents a selection of works based on three main criteria: freedom, originality and proficiency.

The Museum and galleries of contemporary art were opened only a few years ago, but have already received the status of Russia’s largest private art project. The complex mainly consists of fine arts by St. Petersburg authors, but the museum also contains collections of graphics, sculptures and installations by Russian masters (from 1950 until the present). Erarta has a multifunctional purpose: it is used as a showroom, a workshop and an art gallery. It holds different festivals, exhibitions, concerts, performances, movie screenings and, of course, special children’s and educational programs. It’s a wonderful place to watch, to feel and to create.

In Erarta art salon on the first floor you can buy books, original souvenirs by Russian artists and high-quality copies of museum art pieces. 2000 works by 150 artists are displayed on five floors of Erarta museum.

Other Erarta galleries can be found in New York, London, Zurich and Hong Kong.

About Ekaterina Rezanova

I was born and live in this city, I breathe its moist air, cursing its climate and feeling immensely proud of the fact that I'm from St. Petersburg.
