Theater festival “Alexandrinsky”

State national theaters of the world will perform on the stage of the Alexander Theater

Festival of Drawn Stories “Bumfest”

International activities in the world of comics: exhibitions, presentations and master classes in the Hermitage, libraries of the city, in the art center “Floors” and in “Taiga”.

Festival of Music “Earlymusiс

Dedicated to the 18th century St. Petersburg court opera and ballet, artists of Baroque music concerts will perform in the concert halls and palaces of the city.

20 September – 5 October

Movie Festival “A Message to Man”

The 25th international festival of documentaries, short, animated and experimental films will be held in the cinema centers “Giant”, “Motherland”, and “Aurora”, as well as the BDT and Alexandrinsky Theater. In the program for the grand opening of the Palace Square there will be a multimedia show, concert and the blockbuster film “The Man” showing on the big screen. The opening of the Palace starts September 25th at 18.30.

Festival “Nordic Week”

At exhibitions, concerts, and public programs organized by Consulates of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, you can familiarize yourself with the culture and history of our northern neighbors. Meetings will take place at the Danish Institute of Culture, the consulates, the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace, and the “ExpoForum”.

Interesting Performances of the Week          

Theater Performance of Contemporary Ballet of Boris Eifman’s “Red Giselle”

Performed by the troupe of one of the leading theaters of contemporary ballet, a choreographic history of the Russian ballerina Olga Spesivtseva will take place on stage at the Alexandrinsky Theater.

Ballet “Swan Lake”

Performed by the troupe of the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater and accompanied by the music of Tchaikovsky, this fantastical ballet will take place at the Hermitage Theater.

The show “The Best Russian Illusionists” The best magicians and world level actors, will perform on stage at the Leningrad City Council DK

Exhibition “Gift behold. Wanderings of Ibn Battuta “. The exposition reveals the world of wonders and miracles of the 13th century described by the Moroccan traveler and pilgrim, known as Ibn Battuta. The exhibition features unique pieces of metal, ceramics, books, manuscripts and costumes from the 13th-14th century. The exhibition can be seen in the halls of the Middle East on the 3rd floor of the Hermitage.
