The Mariinsky II Theater presents a Christmas opera based on the fairytale by Andersen, the narrative by Dostoevsky and the play by Hauptmann. The performance discovers adversities occurring with children on Christmas Eve. Vladimir Rebikov is a composer, Aleksander Maskalin is a director, and artists of the Academy of Young Singers at the Mariinsky Theatre perform the operatic roles.

The exhibition “Music and Time” of the artist Kirk Yastreb

They explore the truth of life. The author visited the communist Czechoslovakia and saw the Prague Spring, he witnessed how a new capitalist Czech Republic met with old traditional way of life. His paintings showcase all of this.

The multimedia exhibition “Aivazovsky – Alive canvases”

Creative space “Lumiere Hall” presents a new multimedia project dedicated to the picturesque heritage of Ivan Aivazovsky. This exhibition discovers more than 200 paintings by Aivazovsky in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of the most famous Russian marine painters. The paintings come to life thanks to modern technologies. The originals are kept in museums of Russia and Armenia. Volume sound, dynamic visual series and high-resolution projectors allow to immerse deeper into the Aivazovsky art.
